Am Plus Size, So What?

Plus size clothing is a general term given to clothing proportioned specifically for people around size 12 and up. In the Fashion industry plus size is identified as sizes 12-24. Long shirts and Tunics are perfect not only for Modesty but also for the plus size woman who wants to stream line her shape.

Men, we are always being told prefers women with a bit of meat on their bones; a nice curvy bottom and shapely hips. The hard part has been convincing us women that Bigger is better. But over the years ,something has changed we’ve accepted the idea that we don’t have to starve ourselves, or sweat our way through punishing workouts to live up to some sort of impossible deal of thinness.

Women have become more comfortable and responsible for their shape, if you want to be size zero, you can, and if you want to be size 20, you can, as long as you are comfortable with who you are and the size you are then its fine, if you are losing weight for health reasons then that’s great ,but killing yourself with hours in the gym  and moving from one diet to another because you want to be accepted in the society or trying to please body shamers, that is not good enough. You would definitely fall back. If losing weight is not a Self-Goal, due to self-improvement then it’s likely not to make you feel better about yourself.

But it’s still sad, because we find the fashion industry persisting in endorsing this myth that if you are not a size 10 or under, you are somehow unacceptable. So making it difficult for curvier woman to shop joyfully because of the segmentation in most malls. Being a plus size woman, shopping can be very frustrating; so here are some tips on the kind of clothes to look out for while shopping.

1. Long Shirts and tunics are perfect not only for modesty but also for the plus size woman who wants to streamline her shape.
