The Origin of the word Slothful.

The word slothfulness was derived from an animal so called from the remarkable slowness of his motions.There are 2 species of this animal; the three toed sloth,and the two toed sloth,both found in South America. It is said that his greatest speed seldom exceeds 3 yard an hour,it feeds on vegetables and ruminats,because of his laziness to hunt for food. So the word SLOTH;means to be idle or not in use,while SLOTHFUL;means imactive,sluggish,lazy,indolent,idle,being reluctant to exert oneself.That is why the Bible admonishes us not to be slothful in our work. He that is Slothful in his work,is brother to him that is a great Waster!Prov.18. Dammygold, Regards......
